Our CNA Program

Our Nursing Assistant Training Program is developed to train men and women to become competent, safe, and efficient CNA's. It was developed and created to meet the growing need for better trained Nursing Assistants (CNA) in all areas of health care, including long term care, skilled nursing homes, hospitals, and out-patient settings. Our program is designed to meet this specific need. The faculty and staff are committed to help students gain knowledge and develop skills that will prepare them for employment as a CNA in the health care industry and to satisfy the demands of the communities.

The Nursing Assistant Training Program consists of (150) one hundred fifty hours. The theory has (50) fifty hours of classroom instruction and the clinical has (100) one hundred hours. The instructors will teach the theory content through lectures, demonstrations, skills lab intoducing the students to actual nursing procedures and techniques in the clinical setting.

 

Completion of this Program will allow you to take the California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Examination

 

 

 

DAY SCHEDULE: 21 DAYS

  • THEORY CLASSES 50 HOURS 7 DAYS
  • MONDAY TO FRIDAY TIME: 8:00AM TO 4:30PM
  • CLINICAL CLASSES 100 HOURS 14 DAYS
  • CNA Examination Review Classes

EVENING SCHEDULE: 32 DAYS

  • THEORY CLASSES 50 HOURS 10 DAYS
  • MONDAY TO FRIDAY TIME: 5:00PM TO 9:00PM
  • CLINICAL CLASSES 100 HOURS 22 DAYS
  • CNA Examination Review Classes

Program Requirements

  • Valid ID and Social Security Number
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must pass the admissions exam (Basic English and Math)
  • Pass fingerprinting and criminal background screening
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Medical physical completed within a 6-month period of the class start date.
  • TB test which is negative prior to the start of their clinical experience (If your TB test is positive you must have a chest x-ray which is negative).
  • Must be fit for duty with no restrictions.
